|
You can trust us to take no chances when it comes to your protection. This can result in a flight being delayed or canceled, as well as a diversion. When this happens, we'll do everything we can to make the best of a bad circumstance. We strongly recommend that you add passenger contact information (cell phone, email) in your reservation record so that we can alert you to any changes in departure/arrival times. It's also a good idea to sign up for Flight Alerts on our website.
We are committed to providing the most up-to-date and accurate information about Alaska Flight Delays and cancellations, whether in the air or on the ground. Our Flight Operations departments work behind the scenes to coordinate all decisions in order to avoid delays and get you to your destination as quickly as possible.
Delay times might be difficult to predict. Air traffic, weather, sourcing parts, and using a different aircraft or crew can all contribute to a departure time that is earlier or later than expected. We will make frequent announcements, including the date of the next update. At the gate, the ticket counter, or in some cases, the customer service center, a representative will be available to handle your individual needs.
Checking in with the gate agent or studying the Flight Information Display Monitors periodically will keep you informed and ensure you don't miss your flight's departure. When a delay is recognised, a flight may continue to show the original departure time until a solution is found and a new departure time can be calculated. This lowers the possibility of posting an incorrect departure time.
