Web Proxy List by Type

Generally speaking there are two most popular proxy scripts. One is written with Perl(CGI), another - PHP.

Both scripts are widely used when setting up web proxies. There are some differences between them though.

CGI proxies are usually faster than PHP. Another advantage of CGI script is SSL support. CGI web proxy can be configured to proxify secure content while PHP proxies don't support HTTPS web sites.

It is always up to you which type of proxy to choose, but we recommend you to use CGI script when possible.
