I think it was just high trafic hope it doesnt happen again. Its normal now.
I used speedtest.net but that after getting really low download speed and pages taking forever to show! and then after switching off the proxy everything would go back to normal, hence why I think it was the proxy.
but thx anyway

Hi
I've been using this service for nearly two months to watch the F1 racing on the BBC (my girlfriend also uses it to watch stuff like Xfactor and Strictly) and when I signed up the service was great no problems even on my crappy 1.5mb France Telecom line. However towards the end of last month the service became troublesome with lots of pauses and breaks in both live and non-live TV.
I've now upgraded my line to an 18mb line and I'm still getting the problems, the service is very slow at times even with nothing else running in the background.
I know it's not my connection as I've since found other forms of watching live British TV which doesn't have the problems I'm experiencing with my Xroxy proxy, however this is only for live TV and not shows which have already aired.
I recently signed up again (as my previous login expired on Sunday) so I could watch the Brazilian F1 practice and qualifying sessions but still experience the problems on a new user account. I then had to watch the live race elsewhere as the Xroxy proxy was way too laggy.
Is the service over subscribed at the moment? As I say watching live British TV elsewhere doesn't have the lag so it's unlikely to be connection related and more to do with the proxy.
If you can suggest other areas to look at or want some ping/latency measurements I'll be happy to provide them.

The best way to check your network connection speed is with speedtest.net web site
Please make the following tests
1) Local ISP connection with local test server without proxy
2) Connection to the UK test server without proxy.
3) Connection speed with proxy enabled with UK test server. _________________ XROXY.COM - More than just proxy

I can say 12,08mb/s download speed is quite good actually. You will need 1.5mb/s to watch videos in HD quality.
Possibly it was a temporary problem during F1 race when many people were accessing that proxy server.
We usually load balance our proxy servers to provide quality service to our customers. Please let me know if you get any problems in future. _________________ XROXY.COM - More than just proxy

If I watch stuff at 10am (9am UKtime) then there's no problems but trying to watch stuff during peak times in normal quality is very poor. My girlfriend had the same problems again last night trying to watch the X-Factor (I was down the pub so I couldn't run the speed tests), in the end she gave up and used another service which doesn't have the same problems.
Unless the issues are resolved and I'm getting good performance during peak times by the end of the month when my subscription is up I'll not renew my subscription to the service.

Dear Sir,
we are currently adding few more servers to our proxy network. It will help to distribute users among the servers. _________________ XROXY.COM - More than just proxy

So basically it looks like you were over subscribbed.
Will this be done before the weekend or will it take longer? There's a GP on at the weekend and I'm looking to watch it on iPlayer after the race, if however the quality is as poor as it's been recently I'll use another service to watch it live.
Does this also mean you're willing to refund my money as the service in its current state is pretty much unusable!

The process of adding new servers into the proxy network is continuos. I mean we add new and retire old servers regularily.
We do our best to provide enough resources to all the customers though there are still chances that during some peak hours there might be network speed issues.
We just do not want to mislead anybody by saying we guarantee 100% uptime and 100MBit/s speed for everybody. If anybody on the proxy market is pretending to offer such a service they are just lying to you.
If you feel unhappy with our service you can cancel your subscription at any time. Moreover if you feel you are eligible for a refund please file a dispute in PayPal against payment transaction. We will work with you there to resolve the issue. _________________ XROXY.COM - More than just proxy

No other proxy service is offering me is offering me such a service but I've found other services which allow me to watch TV without the problems I'm experiencing with your paid proxy.
You say during peak times but I was trying to watch the F1 practice and qualifying on the 16th and 17th September and struggled due to poor performance. I'd have thought that 2pm (1pm UK time) on a Friday afternoon was hardly peak viewing time. Sure you could say that Saturday 2pm to 6pm was peak time but the service paused so much I went elsewhere and had no problems. Sunday's race was unwatchable on your service hence the reason I ask for a refund as the service isn't fit for purpose in my opinion.
Most of the programs I'd want to watch are on at peak times, such as X-Factor and F1 racing which from your previous answer (and the comments elsewhere about recent slow performance) doesn't sound like I'll get reliable performance. (See my previous posts about performance during X-Factor which my girlfriend experienced on Sunday evening, again pointing to an unfit for purpose service).
So my main question is "Will I be able to watch the GP using iPlayer after the race reliably using your service?" this would probably be later on Sunday afternoon or evening, probably round about the time X-factor is playing in ITV.
F1 is my main reason for subscribing to your service, unless the performance changes dramatically during the peak viewing hours then I'll get my girlfriend to use another more reliable service for watching any soaps/other UK TV.

You will definitely be able to watch F1 race. Please make sure your local connection is good enough to stream the video as well. _________________ XROXY.COM - More than just proxy

Hi there,
I have just signed up to the trial of the paid proxy service and the speed is so slow that it is completely unusable.
I ran speedtest.net to check and the results are as follows:
Test Without proxy
4.94mb/s down
0.47mb/s up
38ms ping
Test With proxy
0.35mb/s down
0.20 mb/s up
515ms Ping
The test was run at 1:43pm UK time today, Thursday 29th October
I am based in Israel and my username is : pp-coldalum
My subscription ID is: S-84L83651Y07718847
I have used other services (mainly VPN based) and the speed I received was never below the 2mbps level - so to get .35mps is frankly unusable.
Is this particular proxy server oversubscribed and whatever the problems are, will they be resolved in the near future as I am still on the first 3 days of my trial and would like to decide whether to remain onboard or not.
Thanks
