Hi - i've never used a proxy before, i really want to watch some videos from mtv.ca (canada). I'm not sure which type of proxy i need either.

I've tried a programme called "Proxy Checker" to test the free canadian IP's listed on this site (under the 'Proxy list' page), but none of them seem to work (I'm assuming they are sock5 type).

you try SOCKSCAP, then try some SOCKS4/5 servers, you can get list from proxy forums like this. then add a program to SOCKSIFY (i.e MOZILLA) it is very easy to use, just try it :)

Thank you for you response.

Do you want me to try sockscap and socksify together at the same time? Or do you want me to try them separately to see if one of them works?

Also, i cant seem to find any canadian proxies on this forum. Maybe i'm not looking in the right threads. Could you post me a link please?

Hi - i dont want to pay for a subscription to socksify. It's a little expensive for me. I'm a student :oops:

But i'm trying to get hold of Sockscap and will give that a go. I will let you know if it works for me

Ok - ive installed sockscap 2.40.

But your proxy details aren't working for me. I need to find more canadian proxies. Would appreciate your help
