Where do you find open proxies to list?
New proxies in our list come primarily from four places:
- visitor submissions
- free online proxy lists
- the headers of spam mail we receive
- Web server log files
We do not actively scan for proxies, though some of our visitors do. Active scanning for proxies may be detected by Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and considered as illegal activity.
